The finca is in the green hills of Sierra de Gata in Extremadura (triangle Gata, Hoyos, Acebo). A beautiful place for nature lovers, wanderers and to live self-sufficiently.

There are no people living in fincas closeby so there is tranquility to relax undisturbed. The roads through the forest are well kept by the government and therefore perfect to drive by car. There is a small camping 5 km away with a beautiful natural swimming pool, as all the villages in this area have. Portugal is 30 km away.

The premises are 1,6 hectare, surrounded by a fence and circled by the forest. The finca has terraces, where there are 130 year old olive trees.

7 years ago the stone house was built, based on the original building. The traditional roof is built with chestnut beams and plank and covered with tiles.





We live self sufficiently: a crystal-clear stream is flowing through the premises. This supplies the house with water through the original water basin.



In the forest is more than enough wood to heat the house. A solar panel provides the electricity.

The house has a living room with kitchen, a bedroom and a vide with another possibility to sleep.







Before the front door there is a summerhouse and a vegetable garden.



There is a chicken coop. In the garden is a traditional Spanish wood-oven. Next to the house there is an orchard with young almond, orange, lemon and fig trees.



In the bathroom there is a shower, toilet and sink. There is a connection for a washing machine.

Next to the house is the guesthouse, which now is used as a bedroom.





Near the house is an old dairy to milk goats.
